Nine Lives

This design was inspired by a Chinese calligraphy book that showed many different ways the character "Shou" (for Long Life) could be written. Many stitchers are like me and already have a bit more stash than a natural lifetime would require, so each of the red centers is a blessing or a lucky charm for a long life. Stitch count is 121 x 121 as shown, but the modular nature of the design makes it perfect for smalls, long skinny banners, or whatever arrangement might suit your fancy
